Indian Color Festival Dinner at Pappe

Logan Circle’s Authentic Northern Indian restaurant, Pappe, is celebrating Holi, the popular two-day festival of colors, on Mon., March 9 and Tues., March 10 with a prix-fixe dinner menu, special cocktail and more from 5-10 p.m. each night.

The menu is being designed by Executive Chef Sanjay Mandhaiya and the special Holi Hai cocktail is handcrafted by Lead Mixologist Robel Berhe.

Upon entry, Pappe is bringing a splash of color to welcome guests. The Rangoli tray will showcase a delightful selection of colored powders for guests to paint their faces. Each guest will also have the option to try a tall glass of Pappe’s special Holi Hai($12) – a white rum-filled cocktail with chilled pomegranate juice, turmeric powder, raw sugar and garnished with a fresh lime.

For $40 per person, guests are invited to indulge with family and friends in a colorful three-course meal. Menu features include Chef Sanjay’s Allepey fish curry (cooked with coconut, curry leaves, mustard and green chilies) and taar gosht, a traditional dish served with braised lamb curry in bone marrow a’jus and stir fried in light mace, cardamom, star anise and cinnamon. Finish off the evening with decadent dessert offerings such as the Saffron rice pudding and chai crème brûlée.
