What: The Sweet & Sour Valentine’s Day Show: A celebration of love and a roast of the holiday.

Cupid’s Bar Crawl

What: Bar crawl to celebrate the season of love.

When: Saturday, Feb. 8, 2:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Where: Dupont- registration bar is Saint Yves

Cupid’s Undie Run

What: A charitable, one mile run in Valentine’s themed undies to raise money for the Children’s Tumor Foundation and to raise awareness for neurofibromatosis research.

When: Saturday, Feb. 8, 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. – Race begins at 2 p.m.

Where: Penn Social – 801 E Street NW (Metro Center & Gallery Place metros)

Galentine’s Celebration at The Alex Speakeasy

What: Ladies enjoy 1/2 off specialty cocktails

When: Fri., Feb. 14, starting at 7 p.m.

Where: The Alex Speakeasy – 1075 Thomas Jefferson Street NW (Georgetown)

Details: Specialty cocktail include the likes of “Spin the Bottle,” made with vodka, lemon juice, strawberry pucker, mint, and peach liquor. DJ Banks will be spinning from 8 p.m. to Midnight.

Potomac River Cruises

Odyssey Cruises is running a Valentine’s Dinner Cruise on Feb. 14 and 15 and a bottomless mimosa brunch buffet on Feb. 15. All events include a live band and dance floor. More event details and tickets are available here.

Woo at the Zoo

The Smithsonian National Zoo is hosting a night to remember on Fri., Feb. 14 from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Bring a special someone, grab a cocktail, learn about animal mating and dance the night away at a throwback ‘80s prom in a heated tent.

Catch a hilarious presentation at either 7:30 p.m. or 9:30 p.m., including “Waddle I Do Without You: Penguin Speed Dating” and “Performance Anxiety: Breeding at the Zoo.”

Tickets are $50-60 and include one drink ticket and complimentary desserts. When purchasing tickets, guests can add an exclusive Valentine’s Day gift to their ticket—a mini Adopt a Species package to pick up at the Zoo the night of the event.

The Alex Speakeasy at The Graham Georgetown

What: Three-course prix fixe dinner

When: Fri., Feb. 14 and Sat., Feb. 15

Where: The Alex Speakeasy – 1075 Thomas Jefferson Street NW (Georgetown)

Details: Choose from a selection of dishes prepared by Executive Chef Jose Molina, including Tuna Crudo served with cucumber and crispy quinoa, Duck Confit with wild mushroom risotto, and pickled beets, and chocolate strawberries to complete the night. Indulge in a festive cocktail for the holiday, 7 minutes in Heaven, made with Gin Lane 1751, Earl Grey, Campari, honey, grapefruit, and bitters. On Fri., Feb 14, from 5-7 p.m., Ariana Lightningstorm, one of only eight certified lipsologists and the first certified teacher of lipsology in the world, will hold complimentary lipsology readings at Dirty Habit. Guests are invited to swipe on lipstick, kiss their one-of-a-kind card, and learn about their lip-print messages with Ariana’s signature humor and insight.
