Adams Morgan Movie Night

The Admo outdoor movie screening is back at the Marie Reed Recreation Center this year. The Marie Reed Elementary School PTA will be selling refreshments, with proceeds benefiting the PTA, and several area restaurants are offering special “Movie Meals” packaged to go. Check out the event website for participating restaurants.

Georgetown Sunset Cinema
Georgetown BID’s annual movie series is back on Tuesdays with the theme “Out of Office,” featuring films about vacations and trips. Grab a blanket, bring a picnic and head to the waterfront to view films with the panoramic backdrop of the sunset, Potomac River and Key Bridge. Films start at sunset (around 8:30 p.m.), arrive early to picnic and to get the best seating.

NoMa Summer Screen
NoMa Summer Screen is back for its 12th year with the theme “Who’s Got Game?” featuring a fun lineup of sports-related films. Movies play every Wednesday through August 28 starting around 8:45 p.m., doors open at 7 p.m. (check website for exact showtime). Screenings take place at The Lot located at 1150 First Street NE (First & Pierce). Before the show, enjoy  music, giveaways, food trucks, and picnicking. Movies start at dark and are screened with subtitles. Bring your blankets, frisbees, coolers, and dogs (on a leash) for some good times with friends and neighbors under the stars.

Golden Cinema Series
This summer’s movie series at Farragut Square takes place every Friday through August 2 (no movie July 5) at sunset as the concluding event of the Farragut Friday event series, which includes an outdoor office space, picnics in Farragut Park, lawn games, and table tennis competitions. This event series provides lively entertainment and activities in Farragut Park from 9 a.m. through the conclusion of Golden Cinema around 11 p.m. Mark your calendar and join neighbors under the stars for a night of entertaining movies and activities. Make a night of it and plan to take advantage of the array of restaurants and retailers in the neighborhood – shopping, dining, and a movie make a great way to spend an evening in the Golden Triangle.

Union Market Drive-In
The Union Market Drive-In is back with its 7th season of movies showing the first Friday of every month through October. Movies begin at sunset and are free for walkers & bikers, $15 tickets are needed for cars and can be purchased through the event’s website. Check the website for exact movie start times and for parking lot entrance times, the lot will be closed to new entrants before the movie starts.

Capitol Riverfront Movie Series
Capitol Riverfront’s Thursday Night Movies returns to Canal Park at Navy Yard every Thursday from June through August (no movie on July 4). Movies, starting at sundown, were selected or inspired by public demand. Arrive early to save your spot, bring a picnic, and enjoy the show.
