Night of the Living Zoo Halloween Party

The National Zoo‘s annual Halloween Party, Night of the Living Zoo, takes place on Friday, Oct. 26 from 7-10:30 p.m.

Hosted by Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ), this year’s adults-only event will feature a range of street performers, including a sword swallower, a fire eater, a comedy juggler, a living marionette stilt walker, a zombie violinist and a body painter. Guests can buy food from some of the best trucks in town to pair with a range of drinking options. There will be dancing, animal encounters, and, of course, a costume contest.

The Baltimore-based quartet, The Shrapnels, will perform a funk-infused, improvisational jazz set, and DJs will be on hand in the General Admission and VIP areas to spin Halloween favorites.

General admission tickets are $30 for FONZ members and $40 for non-members, which includes two drink tickets. VIP tickets are $65 for FONZ members and $90 for non-members, and they include one extra drink ticket. VIP guests also will enjoy food from some of D.C.’s finest restaurants, an exclusive mixed drink, and a souvenir. The Day-of-the-Dead-themed VIP area, sponsored by Estrella Jalisco, will include a private dance floor. All tickets are available now here.
