Earls Kitchen + Bar Opens First D.C. Area Location

Earls Kitchen + Bar opened its doors on October 16 at its new home in Tysons Corner. Starting in Canada, Earls has expanded its reach to five other U.S. cities and has another planned location coming soon in Chicago.

Earls menu features your typical American food in untypical preparations. They’re tuna tartar is rubbed with chili and served on a homemade tortilla chip with cilantro aioli, avocado, and jicama slaw- a delicious and fresh appetizer with just a hint of spice. This creativity can be seen across their menu items, including a dynamite shrimp roll with mango and sriracha mayo, and a roasted corn & poblano cheese dip with fresno chilies served atop ancho salted nacho style fried bread. Looking for something heartier, you can’t go wrong with their chimichurri skirt steak served with a poblano puree. And to wash it all down, enjoy fun and new twists on the Old Fashioned from the whiskey bar, featuring creative blends of different bitters and liquors that produce everything from Old Fosters for the sweeter tooth, complete with a banana slice garnish, to the Anejo Old Fashioned with tequila, mescal, taco syrup, and coriander bitters. If whiskey isn’t your thing, check out their just-as-creative cocktail list, highlighted by the Silly Wabbit- a vodka based drink with lillet blanc, Cointreau, ginger, carrot juice, lemon and cardamom bitters. This orange-colored drink is served over ice in a glass rimmed with green sugar.

Earls’ happy hour includes $3 craft beers, $3 signature highballs, bottles of wine for $15 and $18 (and glasses $4-7), and food specials all $10 and under.

A modern space with open floor plan, two bars, and two patios (with firepits), Earls is conveniently located right across from the new Tysons Metro stop on the silver line.
