Smithsonian’s Afro-Cuban Jazz: Back in Full Swing

The Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra is back to kick off their 25th season “in full swing” with two special evenings celebrating the unique sound and development of Afro-Cuban jazz. Concerts will feature the music of the pioneering musicians who helped define Latin jazz and there will be original Latin jazz objects and instruments owned by these musicians on display from the museum’s collections. Concerts are set in a unique, cabaret-style space with tables and standard concert seating options in the heart of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, with food and drink available for purchase. All table seat tickets include one free glass of wine. Door open at 6:45 p.m. for food and drink, music begins at 7:30 p.m.
