Inaugural Gtown Sunset Movie Series Names Final Flim: Exorcist

The final film being screened in the inaugural Georgetown Sunset Cinema series has been announced … iconic horror film The Exorcist, and the history has much to do with Georgetown

Moviegoers are encouraged to bring a picnic and blanket and enjoy the backdrop of the sunset, Potomac River and Key Bridge.

The Exorcist (1973), filmed in Georgetown, centers around a home at 3600 Prospect Street located next to the now-infamous Exorcist steps. The 75 steps are a popular tourist attraction and a destination for fitness enthusiasts. The Exorcist will close the inaugural Georgetown Sunset Cinema series August 4.
GEORGETOWN SUNSET CINEMA

WHEN: Every Tuesday through August 4. Movies begin at sunset; arrive at 7 p.m. for best seating and giveaways.
WHAT: FREE outdoor movies series hosted by the Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID).

Aug. 4 The Exorcist  (Rated R)
