Food & Drink Tastings at American History Museum Events

Brewing up HIstoryThe American History Museum kicks off 2015 with a new line-up of After Hour events. Once a month, the museum will host an evening of food, drinks, and dynamic conversation connecting you with the past to make sense of the present and shape the future.

Brewing up History is the theme for the first After Hours event on January 23. Featuring Blackjacket brewery’s Greg Engert and beer historian Mike Stein in a discussion about the art and science of brewing. Hear their story of creating new beers inspired by beer styles of the early 19th century and explore the connections between D.C.’s craft beer scene today and the D.C. beer world of the past. Enjoy food and beer samples, book signings, and rarely exhibited brewing history objects.
