Georgetown Skating Rink Set to Open, Offer Free Skating

Lace up your skates … there’s a new ice rink in town. On November 16 at 11 a.m. the mayor will lead the ribbon cutting of Canal Park on the Georgetown waterfront.

After the ceremony the Ice Skating Rink will be open for FREE ice skating (includes skate rental) from 12-2 p.m., then open from 2-9 p.m. at regular rates with ice performances at the top of each hour from 4 – 7 p.m. Below is a breakdown of the ice rink events.

Admission is $8 Adults/$7 Kids, Seniors, Military

Friday, November 16th
10:30-Noon – Skaters provided by DC ICE *Slapshots and Red Rockers
4pm DC ICE Demonstration
5pm Figure Skating Performance
6pm Icersize Demonstration
7pm (Figure Skating Performance or Speed Skating Demo)
