Icebird at the 9:30 Club

On Wednesday, October 12th, producer extraordinaire RJD2, with Philly-based singer Aaron Livingston will perform together at the 9:30 Club as Icebird to celebrate the upcoming release of their album, The Abandoned Lullabye, which will be released the day before the show on October 11th.

Icebird pushes the envelope of the Philly’s respected and storied psychedelic soul scene that groups like TV on the Radio and Rotary Connection pioneered and continue to develop. RJD2’s career highlights include releasing several well-received albums, creating the theme song for Mad Men, and having his music featured on ads for Blackberry and Radio Shack. Aaron has been earning himself a name in Philly circles for years via the famed Black Lily showcases and by being featured on The Roots’ The Tipping Point album. The album has a retro rock/alt-pop feel never exhibited before by RJ or Aaron.

Wed, 10/12 at the 9:30 Club
