Annual Folklife Festival Kicks Off
At the annual Smithsonian Folklife Festival, you will find many exemplary practitioners of diverse, authentic, living traditions—both old and new. The goal of the Festival is to strengthen and preserve these traditions by presenting them on the National Mall.
When: June 27–July 1 and July 4–8, 2012
Where: The Festival is held outdoors on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., between the Smithsonian museums.
Cost: Admission is free.
