Enter to Win a Pair of Tickets to Wine Riot

Founded in Boston in 2008, Wine Riot grew from humble beginnings to an event that tours around the country. Wine Riot hits DC again on May 5th at The DAR Constitution Hall.

Enter to win a pair of tickets to the Saturday May 5, 7-11pm slot. To enter, just Like us on Facebook and then email contest@dcafterfive.comwith the subject line ‘Wine Riot’ and include your name, age and city you live in. Entries must be in by 6 p.m. Monday, April 30. A winner will be randomly selected on May 1 and announced on our Facebook page.

Second Glass’ Wine Riot has reinvented “wine tasting” for the thirsty and curious with two parts education, one part revolution, and a few thousand of your closest friends. The moment you walk through the door you’re armed with a glass and unleashed into the world of wine. Travel from the Loire Valley in France to the depths of Germany, taste things you’ve never tried before and hone in on your new favorites.

They’ve  rallied up a team of wine experts that will be dropping knowledge at interactive booths and 20-minute crash course seminars. Feel free to ask those burning questions like, “Do they really put raspberries in there?” or “How the hell do you pronounce Gewürztraminer?”

The best part is, they made an app that helps you navigate the event and allows you to mark your favorite wines. See what your friends are drinking and where to buy your favorites in stores near you. (The App is available for download for iPhone and Android)

In the midst of filling up on brain juice, rock out to the bumpin’ DJ, throw on some temporary tattoos and pop into the photo booth to show those bad boys off. Munch on some mouthwatering food pairings from Luke’s Lobster all for a few extra bucks (between $5-10).

Prices for Wine Riot are only $50-$60 and all wine is included in the price of the ticket! For tickets and more information visit their website: http://secondglass.com/wineriot/
