This weekend (January 21 and 22, 2012), the Crystal City BID and Washington Wine Academy present the inaugural 1K Beer Walk, featuring a wide variety of beer from local breweries and those beyond the Beltway, as well as snacks from Memphis Barbecue.

Walkers can sample more than 30 different beers from 11 participating breweries while they cruise a fun, indoor course at the Crystal City Shops. Heats start every half hour from 2:00pm to 5:30pm, and at the finish line, walkers will be rewarded for their efforts with a 1K race T-shirt.

Tickets to the 1K Beer Walk are $35. Advance purchase is required. Tickets can be purchased through the Washington Wine Academy website.
