Virgina is for (Beer) Lovers!
The beer industry (brewers, beer importers, distributors, suppliers and retailers) basically pumps twice as much $$ into Virginia’s economy as it does in Maryland’s, according to the Washington Business Journal.
That comes out to about $2.25 billion annually to Maryland’s economy, compared to $4.29 billion in Virginia.
You can understand why when Md. has about half as many distributors as Va. plus they limit where beer can be sold. You can buy a single beer at many Va. gas stations for god sakes.
